Now you can buy our delicious lamb, grazed through oak savannah and Regenerative Organic Certified orchards. We got excited about lambs 8 years ago, when we realized they were a crucial partner in our unique farming system (diverse cover crops, zero-till, minimal-input). Over the years we also came to love the process of raising healthy and delicious market lambs, free of antibiotics, hormones, and chemicals of any kind. And to go a step further in creating a very special product, we raise Dorper variety “hair lambs”. Their wool grows with less spiral to it than more traditional wool breeds, which means they shed their wool naturally (making great bird nest material along the way). This makes them better adapted to our hot summers, it also has the keen effect of trapping less lanolin against their skin, and it is the lanolin that infuses sheep with the “lamby” taste that some folks love and many, well, don’t. Expect rich color and mild flavor from this lamb, and get ready to win over even your pickiest eaters.

Pick-up location is at the farm in Winters. You must come pick up your lamb on pick up day! If you are not available, you must send someone on your behalf (please notify us if this is the case).
